In 2022, Y's will look back on 50 years of history through new creations. The first "Y's 1972" collection to be presented.
Project: Y ’s 1972 – Portrait Anne Nakamura
A Y's classic silhouette inspired by men's clothing, tailored with Y's signature wool gabardine and cotton broadcloth. "Y's 1972" tags are randomly stitched to each silhouette, as a touch of punkness. Actress Anne Nakamura wears the "Y's 1972" collection unadorned, the origin and playfulness of Y's.
Tags are sometimes printed as stamps. Inspired by the Y's for men red tag from the 2003-2004 Fall/Winter collection, inspiring and certifying this revisited capsule collection.
Put on a jacket and some black pants over a broad cotton shirt. The origin of Y's created by the actual atelier team. The long-time experience of craftsmanship leads the collection to a strong and unique style.
The "Y's 1972" collection will be pre-sold from Wednesday, April 6th at the pop-up store opening in Isetan Shinjuku, and will be also available for purchase at Y's Omotesando store for a limited time.
Y's 1972 COTTON BROAD
Y's signature, cotton broadcloth shirt. Simple silhouettes such as long collarless shirts, big silhouette shirts with an authentic back-style tail and drapes on the collar, simple workwear-like shirts with double buttons. An arranged version of the "Y's 1972" tag.
Y's 1972 BLACK GABARDINE
Y's emblematic wool gabardine jackets, shirt jackets, pants and dresses. The "Y's 1972" tag is attached to the chest, hem, or sides. A jacket like a work coat, wearable as men's form, composed of silhouettes reminiscent of the origin of Y's.
Y's 1972 TAG GRAPHIC
A new tag inspired by the red tag of Y's for men from the 2003-2004 Fall / Winter collection. In this collection, the tags have been replaced with graphical motifs, printed as stamps on some silhouettes.
