Y's announces a limited collection made from khadi cotton and old cloth. Deployed at pop-up stores that will open sequentially in Japan from Tuesday, April 18th, 2023.

Khadi cotton, a hand-spun and hand-woven cotton fabric using threads spun on the traditional Indian spinning wheel "Charkha", is a historical fabric of India that has been passed down for over 3000 years. If the thread is cut, it will be spun by hand, and there may be uneven spots, twists, and looseness due to thread skipping. The softly twisted fabric has excellent moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, and the unevenness of the yarn and weaving creates air, making it cool in the summer and warm in the winter, giving it a natural functionality.

A special collection of garments made with Y's creations, stitched and embroidered on khadi cotton, which is characterized by uneven weaving and uneven texture.

In addition, pigment printed T-shirts with simple lines of flower motifs extracted from traditional Indian fabric patterns, and T-shirts with various stamps and graphics designed using Hindi and English. A collection of shirts ─ like luggage that has crossed over several countries, graphic patterns that give off an exotic feeling are also dropped on canvas tote bags.

A semi-circular bag made of khadi cotton fabric with full pattern embroidery and leather on the back, and a card case embroidered with the Hindi Devanagari letter "Y's Yohji Yamamoto" just like the clothes. Small leather goods such as wallets are also available.

Starting with khadi cotton, the collection inspired by traditional Indian fabrics and motifs can be purchased at limited-time stores that will open sequentially throughout Japan from Tuesday, April 18th, 2023.
