Y's BANG ON! TWINS IN PHOTOGRAPHS

TWINS IN PHOTOGRAPHS

Portraits of sisters embellish the latest collection ─ First time releasing photographs of actress and model Rina Konuki, with her sister. The atmosphere of intimacy between the twins brings a fresh and deep impression to the new collection.

Y's BANG ON! expresses the practicality of clothes by recomposing the underlying and background elements of Y's and Yohji Yamamoto's clothing-making. Layering, style arrangements and traditional crafts.

Coats and blouses inspired by the vibrant color shades of hilltribe clothing and by the composition found in old folk costumes. Impressive blue piping in the inside, a pullover in a shirt fabric with hand-made embroideries of plants berries that decorate the neck and the sleeves on a ribbon tape. The latest collection incorporates primitive elements into modern clothing, such as military and arranges it. A masterful men's silhouette. Y's BANG ON ! line-up also includes a series of items bringing in everyday life into a classic style, such as a short-length trench coat.

From Wednesday, January 12th, the latest collection will be available for purchase at Y's Omotesando, other selected stores and the official online boutiques.

Big collar double breasted coat. Its length goes to the knees, and there's a rain shield in the back. Triple stitching on the front edge and around the collar. It is also possible to wear it with the collar upright on the tab. The rubbing of the surface and the unevenness of the seams due to the processing, add depth to the silhouette. The bright blue piping and pocket sack cloth in the inside are inspired by the hilltribes color shades, adding playfulness to the powerful coat. The blue tape peeking from the hem brings surprise to the style, and by turning it over, you can see a completely different look. The chambray gabardine fabric used for military workwear is bio-processed for a worn-out finishing. A modern style mixing folk craft and military.
