Yohji Yamamoto × PORTER vol.2
We are pleased to announce the release of Yohji Yamamoto x PORTER collaboration vol.2.
The "wrinkles" which have supposedly nothing to do with the vocabulary of "beauty", are daringly used as a design feature in this collaboration item.
The main material is Yoshida Kaban's original fabric. A high-density woven nylon twill fabric, processed with a special technique to give this wrinkled effect.
It is characterized by its three-dimensional form with its zipper attached diagonally on the front part. The leathers used to strengthen the bottom of the bag alternate between nubuck and smooth leathers, providing different textures. In addition, highly functional parts have been integrated as part of the design, such as a reflector cord at the bottom and other key features for backpacks and messenger bags.
On the backside, the "Yohji Yamamoto" signature logo is embroidered on the mesh Porter brand tag.
From Thursday, July 1st, in all Yohji Yamamoto HOMME stores in Japan (excluding Sogo Yokohama store), Yohji Yamamoto official online store, PORTER flagship store, PORTER EXCHANGE, PORTER STAND, PORTER KOREA APGJEOUNG, a limited number will be available at the Yoshida Kaban official online store.
BACKPACK:
The backpack is a highly functional item with a large-capacity in its main compartment. In the back side compartment, there is a padded pocket for laptops storage . The chest strap is easily removable with a FID LOCK®︎ magnet from Germany. The two handles attached at the top are convenient features when bringing the bag to the front side, and make it possible to take out contents from either side of the bag.
WAIST BAG:
The waist bag has a two-layer structure with a large-capacity in the main compartment. There is also a separated pocket made convenient to organize small items. By using a core material over a wide area that hits the waist and shoulders, the shape of the bag is adjusted and the adhesion to the body is improved. A reflector cord and nylon tape are attached to the slider of the fastener, allowing smooth openings and closings. The handle attached to the top can also be used as a support when moving the bag to the front side, or while having the bag hanging diagonally extracting contents out of it.
MESSENGER BAG:
The messenger bag has a large-capacity in its main compartment, with a padded pocket for laptops storage. The laptop can be accessed directly from a zipper put on top, without opening the flap. The flap features the quick release buckle used by the German army. It can be easily opened with one quick action. The original buckle with the PORTER logo engraved on it is a functional part that also works as a stopper to prevent the contents of the bag from popping out. A padded shoulder rest using the same material as the body part is also included.
