<AKILA>
An independent eyewear brand based in Los Angeles that focuses on handmade eyewear. Established by a creative team with a background in typography and lettering design, with the concept of “A Modern Eyewear”. AKILA's products are handmade and go through about 100 processes in more than 90 days to complete through the process of designing, designing and manufacturing meticulously. Pursuing uncompromising quality, the highest quality eyewear is completed. Advocating sustainability, using environmentally friendly plant-derived cellulose acetate frame, optical grade lenses (100% UVA/UVB cut), plastic-free biodegradable packaging.

In this first collaboration, it is based on AKILA's popular mold "Apollo". The Apollo is a chunky frame with flat 'Zero Base' lenses that blends the classic with the modern for a timeless silhouette and sophisticated style. Both the frame and lens are finished in all black, and both logos are engraved on the inside. In addition, the case is embroidered with Yohji Yamamoto's iconic motif of peony flowers, and the cloth is also printed with peony flowers, making it a design unique to the collaboration.
